Thumbs down Replacing my Dragon Orb 3

I am fed up with the excessive noise of my Thermaltake Dragon Orb 3 w/ 7000rpm fan.

I am looking for something that is a LOT quieter, and preferably better at cooling. I have read all the heatsink roundups and reviews all over the net - I am just after some real world opinions.

Looking for something that is Quiet, but will keep my nicely overclocked Athlon XP 1800+ COOL.

If you are really pleased with the performance vs noise of your heatsink, please post. Also, if you had one of the Dragon Orbs and got rid of it, what did you replace it with, and are you glad you made the swap???

    Cheers,

I would look at the new Swiftech MCXC370 with the Pabst 33cfm fan. Its really gotten excellent reviews. Here's the link to the review. http://www.frostytech.com/articleview.cfm?articleID=896

I would suggest the same HS (MCXC370) It's the one I have on order. This one looks as good as it gets at present in terms of cool and quiet.

If you want near silence I would go with H2O. I can have my T-Bird1400@1628mhz at 28C room temp and have only one 92mm fan on the radiator and still have only 40C full load and stable as a rock. Not to often can you hear that little chipset fan over your CPU HS.

    MCX370 eh??

If I went for that, is there any reason I shouldnt just go the whole hog and get the MCX462 (with a quieter fan)???

Speaking of which... Im in Australia, and I cant seem to find Swiftech heatsinks ANYWHERE!!!
Is there somewhere in oz that sells them?? If not, who is a good international retailer to get them from...?
