    Cooling an Athlon XP 1900

I'll be ordering some parts for a new computer, and I want to get some of your opinions on cooling my processor.
    Here's my hardware line up:
    Abit KR7A-RAID
    AMD Athlon XP 1900+
    Vantec CCK-6035D HSF
    1GB Crucial DDR (4x 256)
    Enermax 431w PSU

I'll be water cooling when I get the cash, but until then will the Vantec do the job of cooling the XP 1900?

Any other hardware suggestions are also welcome

I don't have that set-up, but the Vantec 6035 is a good mid-range cooler. You shouldn't have any troubles unless you start to OC a lot.

I have an XP-1700 (in my computer at work) with a generic copper heat sink that looks just like the Vantec, and it cools just fine. Even though it is in an old case with no case fans.

    Thanks for the replies

I'll definately be doing some gaming...after I get a vid card
I'm not going to OC right away. I want to make sure everything runs smoothly before I start changing things around

I'm running SETI right now, but it's sad on this computer
