Here's my 5 minute Setup Speed Guide:

Use the cmdline version and SETIDriver instead. Cmdline version is also compatible with Win9x

Here's the instructions on how to download, install and configure both programs.

Go to this link:

http://www.wakeassoc.com/setidriver/...stallation.htm

and download SETIDriver.zip and setiathome-3.03.i386-winnt-cmdline.exe

1-) create a folder (e.g. SETI) and put the two downloaded files in it.

2-) Unzip SETIDriver.zip

3-) double click on the file SETIDriver.exe.

4-) max process: 1 , cache size: at least 20 , Priority: low , Hide processing: put checkmark , Auto Transmit: put checkmark only if you have a permanent internet connection , Progress monitor: Use Seti Driver.

5-) If a Dos prompt doesn’t appear, click the transmit button.

6-) It’s going to ask if you want to create a new account or use an existing account. In your case choose use existing one and then type in the email address you currently crunch under.

Also don't forget to remove the other version from your system.

Well I did that and I did not get a dos promt so I pushed transmit and it kept running the set up program about 5 time before I cancelled it I was not asked to enter an email address it just said would you like to restsart the current work unit again is this right ?
can I check some where to see what version is running

You placed SETIDriver.zip and setiathome-3.03.i386-winnt-cmdline.exe in a newly created folder then unzipped setidriver right?? You have to make sure you close the other version before doing any of this.

DOH I did not close the other version do you have to uninstall it also 3.03 could not find 3.07 is that ok I am running XP PRO if thatmakes any diff

Shutdown the other version then follow my instructions. Once everything is running properly then you can remove the gui version.

Seti Driver is a little bit off in the first 25% but here's what you should expect from your rigs in your sig:

MSI KT3 ultra aru XP2100, average 3hrs/wu

Iwill KK266R athlon 1.2, average 6hrs/wu

Gigabyte GA71XEH athlon1.13(266), average 6hrs 15min/wu

Aopen MK73LE athlon 1.0, average 6hrs 30min/wu


Approximate total daily output: 17-18wu/day
