Hey guys, SETI is back up, kind of. I've got some work on one of my PCs but it's very slow getting through atm. If you can, it's probably best to wait until next week and the initial onslaught of the servers as died down

    Here's something I found today.

Simpler Way To Counter Global Warming Explained: Lock Up
Carbon In Soil And Use Bioenergy Exhaust Gases For Energy

When bioenergy is produced by pyrolysis
    (low-temperature burning without oxygen), it
produces biochar, which has twice as much carbon
in its residue than that from other sources. This
    makes bioenergy carbon-negative and improves
soil health. (Credit: Image courtesy of Cornell University)

    Also I found this there:

with that of 40 Eridani. (Credit: NASA)

What... show your company how to do stats; and then get 'em crunchin! Don't let an opportunity become a roadblock, man...

It's 78°F/26°C right now and Clear, It's expected to go up 93°F /34°C today. And No smoke is coming here as far as I can tell as the sky is blue all around.

CNN says a contractor working on radio stations antenna installation in the Catalinas hills set off the fire by accident.

Yeah, That and Griffith Park in LA too, No more Terminator Movies will be made there for a while.

Catalina is 26 miles from the coast(this is for those who've never been there), So of course ferries are one of normally only two ways to get there, The other is by Air and the runway has a real drop off at one end, Just like on an Aircraft Carrier almost. Emergency vehicles were brought over on Borrowed US Marine Hovercraft from the mainland. Driving Cars is pretty much out on Catalina too as the Ferries for the most part don't do that I don't think.
