Believe it or not, with the current exchange rates it would be cheaper to take the family to Disney World in sunny Flordia than it would to go to the cold, dreary, wet Euro Disney outside of Paris this time of year. Both are way out of our price range right now. It looks like trips along the Rhine and at least one day at the indoor playground and a day or two at an indoor pool.

Why don't they have places like HalliGalli for adults? Huh? I mean, it's bad enough that we didn't have access to them when WE were kids, but now that we CAN go to those places, ya gotta find a KID to take with you, and then still they won't let you on the cool jungle-jim thang...

Ok, you do hafta have a kid with you but they do let you do everything. We do the kids birthday partys there. Just turn em loose and then round them up when it is time to eat or leave. Absolutly stress free way to do it.

Yeah, Sounds like Disneyland down in Anaheim CA, Last time I was there was in December on the 15th(2007) and the later It got the more and more and more crowded the place got(nearly standing room only here and there), cause of the fireworks at night over the Castle, Beautiful though. But at nearly $135 or so dollars It was some Christmas Present(The Ticket was about $110 and the wheelchair was about $20 and the rest was for some food/drink), and We all had a great time, In a few Years in about 2010(after May) I plan to have enough money to buy My own ticket to go back again with the family. And believe Me none of US are Kids anymore, Except at heart at least.

I wonder if he honestly believed that he'd live to 2001 when he wrote the novel. To think he made it to 2008.

    Re: The Boinc Bar!

In any case, I've read plenty of His books and they were interesting too, 2001 as a SciFi movie was the first one I went to see back when It was released to the Theaters, It was fantastic and It left one wanting for more. It fueled My interest in a lot of subjects, Computers and such. Watchin or reading everything I could about space.

It's getting warmer here, today It got to 77F outside and 80F inside and I had 3 windows open to keep the temps from going higher, Now It's cooling off thankfully and I'll have to close a couple of windows soon. 13 more days until April 1st and then I can get the swamp cooler hose and pads that I need.

Right now the History Channel is talking about Mars on "The Universe" and Mariner 4, So much for the Martians, Mariner 4 must have wiped them all out.

Speaking of 2001 S. O., does anyone know the story about how HAL2000 got it's name? I'm sure the answer is in this forum somewhere.
