    Clearing CMOS?

I am working on getting a BIOS Flash/Upgrade, and I see this in the .txt...

"2.After BIOS updated, pull off the power core and then clear the CMOS data
via jumper before restarting system please."

Can someone post a picture, or a good description to a newbie on what exactly I am looking for? I know you change it from 1-2 to 2-3, and wait, and put it back....but I don't know where the switches are, and what they look like..

    Thanks

    Thumbs up What model mobo?

    What motherboard model?

If it's the KR7A, the jumper is near the watch battery on the mobo.

Just scoot it over 1 place, then scoot it back.

To be honest, I rarely cleared my CMOS. Just boot the darn thing.

after it reboots it self after updating the bios

you will get a black screen after it reboots, before the post of the video card, just turn off the switch at the back of psu, then remove the power cable from the back, and just jump the jumpers

i dont think it even matters of clearing the cmos

Not really helping me at all...are you saying I don't need to clear the cmos? I want to know where it is at...not how to do it.

Should be the jumper nearest to the Battery. It should be set on 2 of 3 pins right now. Just move it to the other pins and unplug Power. Leave it for a few seconds and then move the jumper back to the original 2 pins it was on.
It is probably on pin 1 and 2. You move it to 2 and 3 and then back to 1 and 2 and you're good to go....Otherwise, don't sweat it and just like the other guy posted, JUST BOOT THE DARN THING....
Not a very good pic, but you can look here.

Check your manual, page 1-5, and look for CCMOS1 at lower left next to the battery.
