Re: The Folded Frog Pub and Eats!!!!

    Nice, er, beer!

I have a 9850 on order and am looking for a mobo. I've had good luck with the Asus M3A on Phenom 9500's. Anyone know how it likes the 125W tdp of the 9850? I'm going to play with the SMP clients on it. Just a hunch, but I'm guessing I can run two SMP clients and omit the affinity switcher. I'm interested in seeing the results. I have a lot of Q6600's on the floor and would like to see an AMD in the same ballpark for a change.

Thanks BWM, but I think I'll stick with the chocolate milk. Somebody's got to be sober to drive this crowd home

Wish I could dump more money into computers, but photography can be even more expensive. Dropped $800 for a K10D 6 months ago, I've spent $350 on lenses/flashes, gifted/earned another $700 in lenses since then, plus over $200 in lighting equipment, and now I'm contemplating spending 600-800 for a medium format- either a Pentax 67 or 645n. That's way more than I've ever spent on computers

Anybody want to die and leave me a million or two?

It can't. It only has 3 Phase Power and the 9850's require a board with 5 Phase Power or they go poof. The Asus M3A only lasted 2 or 3 seconds with a 9850. See http://www.anandtech.com/mb/showdoc.aspx?i=3279&p=1 for more info.

That remains my only concern about the Gigabyte P35-DS3L

Well, shoot! The reason I asked is my Gigabyte GA-MA790FX blew a mosfet.

So who's driving tonight? My buddy's beer seems to be a whee bit higher than the 8% he guesstimated...

It is a good thing we have designated drivers who stay sober.

Mostly Rainbows here. The fish were bothered but not by me. One guy got a 13" Rainbow and that was it for today.

The rest of the day was spent fixing leaks in the sprinkler system. It looks like the previous owners used the wrong glue

    It's beer-thirty!
