Mine was a different story. I started the work unit, reinstalled windows (whenever I reinstall I backup everything to a dedicated backup drive) but I never finished.

In the meantime started a new folding@home folder and have been folding from that one. Browsing through my computer because of a weekly cleanup I discovered that I did not move the folder back on to the windows drive.

Thats why I had asked Eldest_One if it will be a waste of my time to try and finish it, it was a native villin that was only about 30% done. I took my chances put the folder on my fastest machine and got the credit

Oh yeah I knew when I started it because it said so on folding monitor, it also said it would take 3 years to complete

I love the Tyans they are a great board. I can't understand all the problems everyone is haveing with them. The two I have were quite literally just thrown together and they worked.

that seems to happen alot with me also I currently have ASUS A7V266-E which is literally giving people heartaches in the ASUS forum. This board is just awesome I threw it together threw an XP1700+ in there cranked FSB to 145 and installed windows XP and it hasn't gone down at all.

I tell you this KT266A is a really fast chipset makes my 8K7A w/AMD 760 chipset look like crap. I get better folding times on the 1700+ than the 1800+ they are bothe running at 145 FSB

I guess the biggest thing is useing good components and not cutting corners. I used Enermax 430watt p/s,Crucial Reg DDR memory and methodically put them together. One with MP chips the other with XP and they have not crashed blue screened or any thing.

Cool I use the same products.....maybe its because we are among the elite when it comes to building systems

I was thinking about that but I want to use 2 1900XP's or 2 2000XP's. I have not seen enough post saying the XP will work with the MPX chipset.
