to me it seems that the system really is set up to value only the brain dead worker that likes his wonderful job at crap mart. i've read a story
http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/6057734.stm about how we're going to branch off into two genetically distinct classes, one upper and one lower. i've also read about how schools are purposely dumbing down kids to be "good workers"....
but he most disconcerting evidence of all for this is these stupid questionnaires that employers use to weed people out. take some time to go online and apply for an ace cash express job and fill out the questionnaire at the end.... i mean, what's up with all the out of context questions? they have lists where you're supposed to order things from best to worst...
for example, they have one part of the list as "i love my work"... now, am i to rate that at the top or bottom? i LOVE painting, but what kind of idiot would LOVE working at walmart or LOVE being a usurer?
this presents another problem, and that is institutionalized and socially necessary lying. it seems that more and more systems want people to just smile and nod and act like they actually like these sorts of crap jobs. i mean, really... who would honestly love working at shit mart or usury express?

Viewsonic ... they still suck... but now i'm going to get to see if they can make an lcd that works thanks to warranty.. and lcd that costs half as much as that crt did. i still recommend that you NEVER buy from them. EVER! there are plenty of brands out there that will make you something that does actually work.
