This is a blast from the past. I noticed this on Steam the other day for $17.99. What caught my eye was 16 player coop on PC. That could certainly make for some fun game nights
I wonder how the coop is handled though. Does it require someone to actually setup a dedicated server or is it more automated like L4D? If I remember correctly the net code was rather poor in the original version of this game. We struggled to host a server that could handle more than a few people. If they haven't updated the net code and the game uses the same user-dedicated server setup then it would be useless for a game night here.

thanks and yeah this is kinda cool freaked me out at first lol i havent played this game in a long time. and the cheats dont work which was a downer cause i liked flaying and shooting energy orbs or cannons at stuff.
I just got. Loved it in 2001. Saw it works in triscreen, so for $6.79 I had to get it.
Loads of fun, this game was. I'm sure it will be a blast to play again with the gfx update.
EDIT:
I just had a thought. Wonder if this release is a money maker to help fund a new game currently in development?
Just a thought.

How does the multiplayer work? Do you have to setup dedicated servers? I just read a review that said the multiplayer can be somethings laggy. I could live with that but I'm worried it's going to be unplayable like the original. I'm really only interested in this game for the coop with the frogs so it's important to me.
