Checking up on old friends :)

Greetings all. Hows the pond been doing? I wish I could still be folding like before but many a thing has gone down in my personal life and higher priorities came first.

Things are looking up and possibly soon I'll be in a better position to start up again. Not nearly as aggressive as before but it would nice to hang out here again.

I'll start dropping by and reading up on things, I'm so outta the loop with not only folding news, but PC gear in general. For the longest time I've been on a laptop only which isn't all that folding friendly. I assume my dads PC probably still churns out something for 734 so I suppose I am not completely outta the pond, just left a sign on the pad saying gone fishing, leave a message

Anyhow, will be good to hear from you guys again and to see who is still around here.

Cheers
J

Re: Checking up on old friends :)

Hi Jeremy,

Good to hear from you. Pretty much the same as always with a few soap opera moments tossed in.

The current hot spot in folding is GPU folding with nVidias latest and greatest. You might want to save up for their newest for Xmas. (supposed to be released around then) Current ones are 6-8000 points per day (not a typo)
Ati hardware is as good but the software support is lacking, big time.

Welcome back, and don't use no or minimal folding as an excuse. Stop by any time you feel the urge!!

I've been out of the pond for a while, myself. Things seem pretty quiet here.

Re: Checking up on old friends :)

I'm going to try to stick around a bit more. School will likely steal me away from Jan-May, but I'll try to pop in once in a while. I try to post some WUs once in a while; it's mostly the PS3 doing it. I had a GPU folder running for a while last year, but the fan noise was just too much. I need a new heatsink for the GPU before I can run that much more.

Thumbs up Re: Checking up on old friends :)

Yes, welcome back.

It has been quiet.

But we keep folding for the cause.

Do so when you can.

I know I had to cut back too.

Re: Checking up on old friends :)

Hey there Jeremy and everyone else.

happened by the old hang to check out an issue I'm having with Win7 and figgured I'd drop into the pond and see who everyone else is doing.

Hope this finds everyone well.

Happy New Year

Hey y'all.

I've been sneaking beers out of your cooler when you weren't looking now for a couple of months.
