If you would like to write up a do's and don’ts FAQ for a specific motherboard based on your own experience and the information in the threads above, contact me. It can be posted in the newer area we have set aside for FAQ's.

You will find our new FAQ system here:

For HIGH BANDWIDTH ONLY...

The Corny Introduction
(you need IE5 or 6, java enabled...1024x768)
It may run slow and not correct if the site is experiencing heavy traffic

For LOWER BANDWIDTH OR 56K...

skip the introduction and go directly to:

THE ASUS FORUM MEMBERS FAQ

...which includes some of the links above and the 2 below

If your computer will not start, has problems booting or your looking for some basic do and don't BIOS settings or need to flash / upgrade, recover your BIOS, look here:

The BIOS Of The System

If you are having problems with stability, lock-ups, blue screens or you are installing a system for the first time, you may wish to run down this page... it covers quite a bit and if you follow the list in the order it is presented it may lead to the solution of your problem.

Troubleshooting and Diagnosing Problems

For those new to tweaking the system for performance, read this first, ask questions after. Don't worry if your motherboard is not mentioned. The names have changed but the principles are the same.
