Awesome deal on Intel P4 3.0 Ghz chip, mobo, and WinXP Pro! $199.00!

I'll just copy and paste what I read over at Techbargains. If I worked at any of these places I'd be jumping on this deal.

Intel Retailer Special Deal, Sep 18
Intel has a P4-3Ghz, D865GBF motherboard, and Windows XP pro for $199 if you work for Best Buy, Brandsmart, Business Depot, Circuit City, CompUSA, Compusmart, Costo, Datavision, Fry's Electronics, Futureshop, Gateway, J & R Computer World, Micro Center, Office Depot, Radio Shack Canada, RCM, Sam's Club, Sears, Staples, or Walmart. Starts October.

Here is the link on the Intel page you need to go to for this deal. They make you sign up and do some stupid Pro Intel tests, but it's worth it if you ask me.

Lowest price for the chip on pricewatch is about $383. XP is ~$100 at newegg, and the mobos gotta be at least 70.

Grrr, I don't know anyone working at any of those stores.... Maybe I should go get hired for a day or two at one of these places, lol. Hmm, any ideas??? WinXP Pro isn't cheap itself. This deal is too good.

This is uber-hot. My friends brother has worked @ staples for a while, and got the same deal back when it came with a 2.53.

dude, wait until October, that's what it says. You can't purchase till sometime in October, I would assume October 1. They say to keep checking back to look for a countdown or something like that. Motherboard is about $100, processor $383, Windows XP PRO $140, not $100 since this is PRO. You do pay shipping though, they don't tell you what that is. Processor may actually be worth more because it appears to be retail box.

Does anyone have any idea if they actually check if you work in those departments. Also are you limited to only buying one? Thanks in advance

Not only do you need to work at those places, but in specific departments as well. Check out the rules on the bottom of the Intel page. I think I'll work selling computers for a couple of days ... Just call it an adventure...
