I have questions about memory timings?

I have questions about DFI’s CMOS Reloaded.

What BIOS settings should I use?
There are many possibilities here, so I won’t cover them all here. For more information and for other items not covered here, go to
Rojakpot’s BIOS Optimization Guide.
[Added 2-9-05]
If booting from a SATA drive or raid array, I have added some additional settings below this section.
Standard CMOS Settings
Under IDE Primary (Secondary) Master (Slave), make sure access mode is set to LBA, and not CHS.
Advanced Chipset Features
System Performance = Expert
CPU Interface = Aggressive
Memory Timings = Expert
T(RAS) = 6-11 (Read Drisler’s Memory FAQ for more info)
T(RCD - Read) = 2 (optimal) or 3
T(RCD - Write) = 2 (optimal) or 3
T(RP) = 2 (optimal) or 3
CAS Latency = 2 (optimal) or 2.5
T(RC) = 13
T(RFC) = 15
SuperBypass = Enabled
Sync Mode Memory Bypass = Auto
Data Scavanged Rate = Fast
Command Per Clock = Enabled [Available in the 12-31-03 BIOS and later. For double sided DIMMS you may need to disable this to achieve higher FSB’s. This is the same as Command Rate 1T (CPC Enabled) or 2T (CPC Disabled).]
DIMM# Driving Strength = Auto
DIMM# Driving Slew Rate = Auto
AGP Aperture Size (MB) = 64MB or 128MB, depending on the amount of your system memory
AGP 8X Support = Enabled if your hardware supports it, Disabled if not
AGP Fast Write Capability = Disabled, as most current hardware does not support it, and it usually slows down performance or causes instability
CPU Thermal-Throttling = Disabled
System BIOS Cacheable = Disabled
Video Ram Cacheable = Disabled
Integrated Peripherals
Init Display First = PCI Slot (Works as a backup so you can add a PCI video card if you are having trouble with your AGP card, especially when flashing the video card’s BIOS.)
PnP/PCI Configurations
AGP Latency = Available in the January 2004 and later BIOS files. Set to 192 or 255 if you are experiencing problems with 3Dmark crashing to the desktop with Radeon cards
Genie BIOS Setting
-
CPU/DRAM Clock Setting
CPU Clock Spread Spectrum = Disabled
AGP Clock Spread Spectrum = Disabled
AGP Clock Setting = 66MHz
DDR DRAM Clock = 1:1
-
Onboard Device Control
nVidia LAN Chip Control = Enabled if you use it, disabled if you don’t
nVidia LAN MAC Address = Set to Enabled if you need to use the next line
-> MAC (NV) Address Input = Input the number here as addressed in the above thread about losing your LAN
IEEE1394 Chip Control = Enabled if you use it, disabled if you don’t
Sil3114 S-ATA Control = "SATA" for single drives, "SATA-Raid" for arrays, and "Disabled" to turn the controller off.
Additional BIOS Settings for Booting from SATA drives and Raid Arrays
Under Standard CMOS Settings, you may wish to set all IDE devices to "None." Windows should see the drives anyway, but set it to "Auto" if Windows does not see it.
Under Advanced Chipset Features, you should set all Boot Devices to "Disabled" and Boot from Other Devices to "Disabled."
