I'm looking to buy some new headphones for general comp usage and also for my mp3 player partially. I currently have some average earbud Panasonic headphones for my mp3 player, but for my comp, I only have a cheap logitech headset (I'll still use it for teamspeak), but I want better over-the-ear headphones for general usage.
Anyway, so what's some really good headphones. I'm prepared to pay about $150-$200 CAD as long as they're really good headphones. Here's a couple of selections I found from a local music store which has guitar, drums, dj stuff etc.
Sennheiser HD280 Professional DJ Headphones - HD280 $168
Sennheiser HD570 Symphony High Definition Headphones - HD570 $165
Pioneer HDJ1000 Professional DJ Headphones - HDJ1000 $236
Sony MDR7506 Professional Stereo Headphones - MDR7506 $200
Sony MDRV700DJ Professional DJ Stereo Headphones - MDRV700DJ $220
Technics RPDJ1200 Professional DJ Headphones - RPDJ1200 $180
All the prices are in canadian dollars and there are more from the same store, I'm just listing a couple.

And where can I buy these? I'm not going to buy other than local store and don't bother posting links from like Newegg or something like that since 99% of american retailers don't ship to canada.
EDIT: I see these Shure E3c are one of those noise cancelling earbud headphones. Maybe I didn't express myself right. I've heard about these (though didn't previously know the exact brand), but I'm not interested in earbud headphones whatsoever. I'm looking for the big type that cover the whole ear.
And why would I want to try eBay? I said I'm not going to buy online. I want opinions on the headphones I posted. eBay would be the last place I would buy from online, not to mention that I'm not interested in 2nd hand stuff.
Anyway, I'm going to that store in like 20 minutes. If any of you have some opinions to post on the ones I listed, now's the perfect time.
All I can say is that Sennheiser makes excellent headphones, so without doing any further digging that would be my 2 cents. Uh, that's 2 cents in US dollars...
I tried out the Sennheiser HD570's first and I wasn't too impressed, mostly because I turned the volume to max on my MP3 player and I was expecting more sound. I then tried the Technics I listed (I think, but I know they were Technics), and they sounded really nice. They were DJ headphones that were smaller than the Sennheiser's and just covered the ear, not the outside of it too. Anyway, I thought those were reallly nice, turned up volume to max on Crazy Train on my mp3 player and really nice and quality sound, very powerful too.
After that, I tried those Pioneers and those sounded overall really good, and had good bass, though I tried For Whom The Bell Tolls on them, not Crazy Train, anyway they sounded good.
That's about it. I thought the Technics DJ headphones were really really nice. For now, I'll make a small list of parts of songs to test with (2 or 3 parts) and then go back there in like a week or over the weekend and decide which one to buy (I'll try more headphones then).
I think I tried the wrong Sennheiser headphones though. I've realized I want stuff like DJ headphones that just cover your ear and provide a lot of sound and really good high band sound.
I'll try the Sennheiser HD280's next time I go in there. I also saw the Sony's I listed are DJ headphones so I'll try those too.
Technics RPDJ1200 Professional DJ Headphones - RPDJ1200 $180
I bought a pair of these this past summer and absolutely LOVE them! Best headphones I've ever owned.....and lemme tell you, my ears will be damaged before these darned things will distort.....
I bought mine for $79 USD from some online music store after much searching.....but yes, that exact model....got them on sale....and lemme tell you....the only downside is that my ears are slightly uncomfortable and red at LAN parties due to the extended wear as they aren't COMPLETELY cupped over the ear but you cannot hear anything outside of the headphones, that's for sure!
Oh yea? Well that's the ones I was just testing when I went to the shop and I thought they were great. Very good clarity. I turned up volume to the max on Crazy Train and I absolutely loved it.
I came up with like 5 parts of songs to listen to when I go on the weekend to see what I buy.
Jimi Hendrix - Voodoo Chile (256kbs)
Jimi Hendrix - Star Spangled Banner (solo from woodstock - 192kbs)
Metallica - Don't Tread On Me (good bass/guitar)
Van Halen - Eruption (really high pitched sound, gotta try it)
and like 1 or 2 trance tracks for like 10 sec where there's a lot of bass and keyboard (just lots of sounds)
It seems to me that my main choices are the Pioneer dj, the sony dj or that technics (and I'll give the sennheiser hd280 a try too).
Who knows, I'll probably end up buying those Technics. Man, they did sounds damn good on Crazy Train at max vol.
You gotta go what sounds good to your ears at the end of the day....what sounds good to me, may not to you, but the Technics impressed me.....I had some Sony DJ headphones before and the Technics had deeper bass than the Sony's.....I never tried the Pioneer headphones out, but I had tried a couple Sennheiser models, and despite the urging of some of my friends, I wasn't overly impressed with them.....they were more COMFORTABLE, sure....but in the end, the richness and clarity of sound is what got me coming back to the Technics every time.....again, the only downside was that leaving them on for LONG periods of time isn't the most comfortable, but I have grown accustomed to moving the headphones slightly every so often just to keep them from staying in the same spot and becoming too irritating.....
My kids have my old Sony headphones and they are a bit envious of "daddy's nice headphones" .... but.... since I mainly use my headphones nowadays, I gave my oldest daughter my Klipsch ProMedia 4.1 speakers, so that shut her up!

You've really got to tone down your responses - too aggressive
eBay sell new stuff as well as second hand - your unlikely to see second hand headphones on eBay because of their personal nature...
What sound card are you using in the Comp? This will have a lot to do with your choice of headphones.
Are you listening to the Stores headphones from what sound source? You might be comparing apples to oranges when you get them home.
As for what I was testing the headphones with, I was using my creative zen touch player with crazy train (ozzy) and for whom the bell tolls (metallica) and varying around max volume.
