I have to say i was going to change one of my boxes mb's out to get the usb 2. after all the great reviews i decided to use the soltek mb for my socket a. after all in all is said and done go to the egg to order and low and behold none in stock then it disappers. posted on another thread here and had some great conversation chatted with lydia and she found that nicx had them. Sent them an email no response 2 weeks later. SOOOOOO i would never buy anything from any company that doesnt respond to a simple request. i ended up just adding a pci usb card and im all done. i would like to thank radiohead for his input. it is a shame that a great company great products and no distribution network i wish i could help them. i know the amd socket a is a dead issue but i have 939's and 754's no biggie i just wanted my SOLTEK because you know that they only last so long and im due. this is a public service announcment
Hi Ed,
I am sorry that you didn't get the reply from NCIX.
Are you still looking for the SL-75FRN3-GR? Maybe I can ask our sales representative to check it with NCIX.
What do you think?

I always have good support from NCIX. I would try again, using their ticket system. I'm a NCIX customer since 2001 and I never had any bad experience with them.
I've dealt with them on a regular basis for ages, pretty much since they came upp to speed and have never had a problem. I've problaby received (ordered) around 30FRN2-Ls from them in the past couple of years and never had a problem with customer support. Its most likely how you went about contacting them. I think the best deal I got on an FRN2-L from them was C$69.95.
Its sad they had to curb their stateside sales as I think it was actually a large part of there business prior to 9/11 but as far as I know they're back to shipping to the south again but I can't say what the shppping charges or customs is gonna be like.

I think those of us who are indeed still interested in the Socket A platform and want to remain Soltekers should most likely take heed here and snap one of these up if you're serious. The end of the road can't be far off for these very respected boards.
i truely agree as i said i really dont notice that much of a diff to the a64's but i got one of those too. the ncix was alot more money i dont mind someone making a living but it was like 20.00 more. i just like to buildem with pretty colors lol ordered mine it should be in tommorow
so i have something to do this weekend. hey radio where ya at in ontario?

London, Not too awful far from Rochester.
The difference in price may indeed have something to do with duty or the simple fact that its crossing a border. First Santa Cruz sound card I got came from the States and I paid thru the teeth for it in US$ no less. By the time you figure in the 20 or so cents on the US buck I can't see any other reason. The past few boards I purchased form them were bought new for less than 70$ Canadian so in your currency thats a good deal.
Hey, RH, I looked that up on the map. Ya know, I was raised in Chicago, so I know what it's like to live next to one of the great lakes in winter, especially when the wind blows. And you're jammed between two of them! You must freeze your bajingies off. Bet you're glad it's spring.
I agree re. that soltek board. Come the first of the month, if it's still there at newegg, I'm going to be sorely tempted.

you get to the falls? thats my favorite place downer's then a little casino action
what more could a man ask for its like heaven there. im prob up for the casino next
week i have 1k in my pockey waiting to help the goverment out up there. LOL
hey you know any good computer shops there i can find some great deals?
I've been down to the Casino a couple of times but if you had a look at the left side of my pay stub or anyone elses up here in Canada you wouldn't take long to figure out why the Casinos are full of folks from the south side of the border.
As for Computer shops n niagra falls, no idea. I do 90% of my business with NCIX and a couple of other online dealers up here and the other 10% at a mom and pop outfit not far from home for most anything I can't get on line.
No doubt its nice to see the spring but I don't imagine my weather is too different from Captain eds. We don't get the winds they do in Chicago and sometimes the lakes can actually keep the temperature up but with that comes snowfall.
lol thats funny i still have snow on my lawn whoda thought boy this winter sure has been a long one for sure. yea i do see more yankees at the casino spending money but hey you got free health insurance. it only cost me 1200 a month for a family so there. alot of my wife family is from the toronto area and they moved south in the 80's the doctors here were making huge amounts of money then in the early 90's moved back north of the border the insurancewas killing them. now if we can only get the dam us dollar back to 1.58 on the canadian dollar i would be a happy geek.
