K8n-e Deluxe, SATA help please!

I have the k8n-e deluxe, been using it for a long time now, but the problem is I just purchased a new Western Digital 320gig SATA hard drive. I have already used the 2 main SATA ports, all that is left is the 4 additional on the different controller, when I plug the hard drive in without that SATA program from Asus's website it just doesnt show up, with that program is BSOD's. Can those ports be used seperately without RAID. I have tried all the different BIOS settings I know of and nothing seems to work!! PLEASE HELP!!!! Thank you all for your time.

Re: K8n-e Deluxe, SATA help please!

Welcome Kayden0000,

I think this was discussed lately in this thread: http://forums.pcper.com/showthread.p...ght=k8n-e+jbod

There are some suggestions there on page 2. Update the bios, Try setting up a single drive jbod array in the Silicon Image bios. There is also a suggestion at the end of page 1 there.

Let us know how it goes.
