Re: new bios is out for the T-Power NF750

I am starting to like this new bios , systen now seems smoother , a little faster . I would love to test it under some load but my 9800GTX won't be here till tuesday . I would love to test the power down mode using the onboard Vid . (what did they call that again when the add on graphics card is powered down and it switches to on board for low ends apps like surfing the web , ect )
But from what I am seeing on the web that feature is only supported in windows vista and I am running windows xp

That would be a neat feature, too bad if it is Vista only.

I think you will like it . This bios was the turing point for me as I was honestly considering sending this board back to new egg . Assuming all goes well with my new 9800GTX , I am going to keep the T-Power . It has been boringly stable and fast !
My next upgrade I am looking at a Asus PCIE sound card the Xonar DX 7.1

Re: new bios is out for the T-Power NF750

All of the 3 new boards($59 A740G is OK) set Tras lower by 2T then the BIOS is set at. This happens with both Phenom and Brisbanes. In the past, Biostar has never fixed this kind of issue which is similar to the issue on the 965PT and the P35D2-A7.... The 3 new boards have BIOS that are visually, exactly the same. So no suprise they have same issues.

Also, running a Phenom, you will have a 1066 memory "divider". There is no problem with dividers 400, 533, 667, 800. But 1066 is defaulting to 800, and 5-5-5-17 is reset to 5-3-3-7 on my setup.

This is all I have found.

I am just wondering if you had any plans to add or mod a bios for the T750 that would give more memory timming options like you did for the biostar TF550 ?

Re: new bios is out for the T-Power NF750

Modifying AMI BIOS's are an unknown right now, but we're looking at them very closely. I did post a mod 527 BIOS for TF8200 and TP-N750 to disable the TLB-Fix for 9500/9600 Phenoms, but that is it for now. Adding new Items to a AMI BIOS is probably at least a year away, and may never be possible...

I was way to pessimistic:
