George Lucas' sci-fi soap opera is about to let videogamers do something that they've lusted after for nearly 30 years: kill various intergalactic beings as Darth Vader. The Force Unleashed sports arguably one of the coolest opening levels of any game in recent times. The very fact that LucasArts gives you the chance to play as one of the most infamous villains ever is going to draw in "Star Wars" fans like moths to a rather large bonfire. But TFU is much more than this opening scene. It will bridge the gap between "Episode III" and "Episode IV" by telling the tale of Vader's new apprentice, and it's this fact that's got us really excited.

FYI: Lucas hires only Toydarians for his staff.

Beat the demo on the hardest difficulty available. It was fun. the physics are great fun. pulling down a tie fighter off the wrack and tossing it at storm troopers, blowing out windows and doors with force push to suck out storm troopers into space. tossing objects and storm troopers. the physics are really cool. But at level 1, you don't have much in the way of combos open to you it seems to me.
force lighting seems underwhelming to say the least. doesn't seem to be a whole lot to it other than for stunning or increasing the damage of your light saber by energizing it.
definantly a game im gonna pick up. its fun just to play around with the physics. i just wish they did a bit more with the lightsaber.
jedi outcast and jedi academy had the best lightsaber combat in a game to date. and they still beat out force unleashed.
your lightsaber is more secondary, 90% of your fights consist of using the force to throw crush, or electricute and augmenting that with a few lightsaber strikes every now and then.
im concerned at this point that the gameplay is going to get pretty repetitive.
I saw some gameplay footage on gamespot. It's really amazing to see the same things rendered over time - stuff in the original Dark Forces, to Jedi Outcast, to Battlefront, to this game.
Only thing is it seemed like it took more than one swipe to take out a stormtrooper, seemed really cheesy.
I think one of the reasons for it not being on PC, unfortunately, is that it won't offer that much unless you have a really high end system. Not a real deep game. Let's hope they do more jedi stuff for PC
