FlatOut Ultimate Carnage

I know a few guys here have this game. Anyone up for a multiplayer session some time? I dunno how the Fragging Frogs do this stuff so if it's a possibility, you'll have to walk me through it. Might also be problems doing this - usually there's high latency between here and the US.

Is it as good as the previous games? Where'd you buy it at?

I wish these guys would dust off the Carmageddon franchise..

Re: FlatOut Ultimate Carnage

It's very similar to Flatout 2. All the same tracks, but it looks better. There are a couple of major differences though.

Twelve cars to a race, rather than eight. Makes it a bit more challenging. If you use a Live profile, all of your best scores are ranked online. I also think the graphics are better.

Carnage Mode:
  • Stunt - the usual suspects. Darts, Baseball, High Jump, Ring of Fire, etc.
  • Carnage Race - the objective is to earn enough points to win medals by wrecking scenery, smashing cars and going fast. Not as easy as it sounds.
  • Beat the Bomb - you have to pass checkpoints to prevent the bomb in your car from exploding.
  • Deathmatch Derby - you have to reach a certain score within the alloted time. You get three lives. You can earn extra lives and there are some cool power-ups during the derby.
I live in Australia, so I don't think it'd help if I told ya where I bought it. Either way it only cost me $50AUD (from Electronics Boutique).

It's available at Gogamer.com and on Steam. I would be game for some MP action if we get some more people.

Does anyone want to race tonight? Do you have to pay for an account?

The best secret. Drive backwards on the fig 8 with the 4wd truck. On avg i make 12k a race and thats about 2mins of driving. Easy way to get cash.

I've been so tempted to do that online with the Truck (big rig). I've already destroyed one or two opponents in normal races just with the Road King and Bullet GT but I want to get a few more up.

Hey how about you guys PM me your Live usernames and I'll PM you mine. That way if we see each other online we can get into some racing/derbies.

Re: FlatOut Ultimate Carnage

i do the figure 8 track thing for money too. well haven't done it in this game yet, but flatout 2 i did. you don't really have to drive backwards, just make sure if you hit someone head on that you're going faster, i think it also helps to have a beefier ride, with all the extra strength adding upgrades. maybe they changed that for UC though?

used to really rack up on those tracks, i could totally destroy 4-5 cars easy, plus all the other damage from blast outs and super flips.
