Carpenter Bee's Infestation - problem solved!

Not sure if any of you have this problem, but I did and stumbled across this trap that works for the pesky bee's. I bought me one and dude! does away with em
Thought I would share it with you in case you needed something that worked. Heck it is even eco friendly, but might help cause global warming from all the dead bee's in the trap. LOL

Re: Carpenter Bee's Infestation - problem solved!

We had them bad in our cabin they bored holes all thru the eaves and cross members the males I believe don't have stingers but the females are agressive and will light that ass up with their 1/4 inch stingers. We used to kill hem while they slept in the holes at night the wife used some sort of chemicle when we stained and they never came back. They can totally wreck a home we had to replace $200+
in new wood not counting our labor. Thats a cool solution to the problem hunter4u.

Re: Carpenter Bee's Infestation - problem solved!

My parents own a house that they rent out in louisiana. And after katrina, a section of the outside of the house by the roof became infested with bees that just wouldnt die. I emptied countless cans of every kind of bee killer the store had into the nest. And it almost seemed like they fed off of it lol. Eventually a pressure washer and a pair of nike shoes was used to blow the nest out and run away.

It's amazing what industries are located here.

I've always left the carpenter bee's alone to go about their business, wasp's on the other hand get bug-sprayed unceremoniously.

Re: Carpenter Bee's Infestation - problem solved!

that seems like an interesting idea.. but how exactly do the bees die in the container?

is there some type of bee killer in there? because the directions say to put a hole in the bottom of the bottle so rain water drains out

looks like an interesting product that i might try to make because i have a problem with these things in my deck, i tried everything to kill them including spraying brake cleaner in the holes

no bee killer, they just can't get out and die. Best 20 bucks I have spent, plus easy cleanup!
