Grab them while you can - a report I was reading a few days ago was talking about suspending this offer until the 1st of January. Apparently they were giving out a lot of Win7 to anyone with a .edu email address - regardless if it was still valid or not. oops!

I can get win7 free, just like i got vista and 2008 free, just find an ms rep at a school/event, and ask, hell, one weekend at a tech convention me and a few buddys got winXP, server 2003, office 2003, xp x64, on and on, all free, just walked up and asked for them after each shift change, hell, one of the reps gave me 1 xp x64 disk and a sheet of valid keys for it and said to give copys ot my friends LOL.
They do the same in Australia (but the US prices are better). It's not just Windows you guys are eligible for either. Here's a link to the US page.
Poci, over here you can download the installation package or get the CD/DVD's from your college or uni (try the bookshop). In both cases you get the installation key online. Might be a different method in the USA though.
How does it work? They send you an OEM or retail disk?
Or you dl an iso image with cd key?
You have the option of either them sending you a disk, or downloading an iso, with the latter being a few dollars cheaper because of shipping and what not. Apparently if you call M$ at the number provided in that slick deals link, they send you retail for $34, as opposed to digital river which costs 40something.
