I bought a Pc-70 years ago and it's still my main rig case. I can't decide if it looks outdated or not. It's great case , functions well and holds a bunch of drives.

Thinking it's time to update the look.
I have a PC-60 that I have been using since the early 90's as my main rig case. It is still a nice case I think, mine is old enough that it holds 5 3.5 inch drives internally instead of the 3 that later versions held. My only problem with it is that I wish it used 120mm fans instead of 80mm fans. I did cut another 80mm hole in the back so I could run 2 exhaust fans. I still really like the filter on the intake, does a surprisingly good job keeping crap out of the case. I occasionally have looked into replacing it with a case the has 120mm fans but have yet to find one that I like well enough to change.
I would be curious what you get if you buy a new case. Keep us posted.

never though of flipping the psu panel like that and running the psu at the very top!
i have a pc-75 i got 4-5 years ago still. cut out the stock fan grills and cut some cable routing holes in the mobo tray and ran rubber edging around the holes, other than that it's pretty much stock.
they're good cases but others have pointed out their fatal flaw, the 80mm fans. at the time 80mm fans were about all you'd find in a case though.
i wanna ditch mine and get a corsair obsidian 800d though. i might wait a bit and see if corsair released a revised edition of the 800d though that has some improved airflow.
gotta say, i've had the case longer than just about any other pc part, other than my old 21" crt i just replaced

I still have a Designcomp Modded PC-61 sitting by my side. It has been modded with a second 80 mm in the back, a 120 on top, a 92 in the side panel window, and the front 80's small hole intakes have been cut-out and standard wire grilles installed. It cools pretty well, and with quiet fans is pretty tolerable. Great quality case.
I still use the PC-V1100B that I bought four years ago. I switched to an WINDy case for a couple months I to do some work on the Lian Li (which I find to be superior). I'm going to build a new case around a Silverstone TJ07, but I'll continue to use the 1100B for many years to come.
I love Lian-Li cases. My PC75 served me well for I think 5 years till I finally replaced it with its brother PC-A70 earlier this year. I need better cooling for E8400 overclocking and the 80mm fans just don't cut it anymore and I'm terrible with my hands so I can't mod.
Unfortunately LL cases are so expensive, I only have it for my main computer. I have a couple other spare computers and those use cheap cases albeit with 120mm fans.
No other manufactures built cases with the beautiful classical look, roomy interior (even their mid-towers), and excellent cooling like LL does but you pay for it with price.

Well when you put it that way then maybe it doesn't need to be replaced.
It's just when I look at it compared to some of the new cases I see it looks so plain(Classical)
I'm still using my PC75 and it's going on 6 years now and don't plan to replace it anytime soon. My wife is still using my hand me down PC86 (I think it is) and both cases are in great shape and still look good.

I did the unthinkable and sold my modded pc-65. It served me well for years, but I got tired of the 80mm fans, and the lack of more hd bays. Of the current LL line of cases, I do like the Lian Li PC-7FWB, but it needs some modding though.
My PC-60 has had 9 different mb setups since I bought it about 8 years ago.
It's had a lot of functional mods over the years, though. All the stock fans were replaced with Panaflo's, and I added a 2nd exhaust fan in the back. The power switch has also been replaced with a red "vandal" switch, and it's had a 4 position fan controller for years!
It's not my "main" PC anymore, but still looks very simple and elegant!
