Anyone else get it? It should be finished downloading by the time I get home
from work. Woot!

I'll be picking up my copy, along with the strategy guide, and my reserve goodies at my local Gamestop this afternoon.

Re: Dragon Age: Origins

I abhore strategy guides this early on.
To me, it defeats the whole point of playing to have everything
layed out for you ahead of time.

As for bonus stuff, my Deluxe Edition from STEAM comes with
some goodies, plus what I've unlocked from the flash game. I
can't wait to get home.

Re: Dragon Age: Origins

I got the Feral Wolf Charm, the Memory Ring, and the Dragon Armor, for use in this game and Mass Effect 2.

I like this game, and have two completed quests already without leaving town. I'm playing a Dwarven Warrior, that I named after the Gimli in the Lord Of The Rings. Going to be looking for an axe for him, and can't wait until I have my strength at level 38, so I can equip my Blood Dragon Armor.

Re: Dragon Age: Origins

How does it appeal to us die hard Bioware fans? NWN/NWN2/Kotor and such. It's a radical departure from the DnD system.

Re: Dragon Age: Origins

I put my Dwarf on hold for awhile. Decided to play a human warrior, I'm almost to level 7 where I can choose my first speciliazation.

The game is smooth as butter for me on my rig.

Re: Dragon Age: Origins

You guys SUCK!!
Already 15 hours? I only got to play for about three hours last night, then
it was off to bed for another long day at work today. Bah!!

When I get off work, I'll be trying out a human warrior. My Dwarf will
eventually go Reaper, I think, but my Human is going the Paladin route. Two
entirely different dialogue paths for that... my dwarf is a jack@ss, and the
Paladin is going to be caring and stuff. Pfft!

Re: Dragon Age: Origins

I got the speciliaztion point, but I first have to complete a long quest, which is part of the story line to have a guy train my human warrior to be a champion.

Right now, I'm working on the DLC quest to get the golem, then I'll probably tackle the mage's tower, where I can pick up a healer for my party, and then tackle the DLC quest to retake Wardens Tower, which my character and his party and the rest of the gray wardens can then use as a base of operations.

Re: Dragon Age: Origins

This game single-handedly crippled our raiding guild in Aion haha! Looks and feels nice for some old engine tricks...

Re: Dragon Age: Origins

I got the Golem, knocked off the Mage's Tower, and I'm working on Warden's Keep now. Found me a nice party configuration, my character, Allistar as the second tank, Morrigan for combat magic, and Wynne for healing.

You can't get Wynne for healing, until you do the Mage's Tower, and you will want to do the Mage's Tower as the first story quest, though you can do the other parts of the story quest first.

Pretty good split screen comparison of the Xbox, Ps3, and PC versions of the game if your on the fence about what version to invest in.

PC of course looks the best...
