Readyboost

Hi all, just a question. Will readyboost help at all, if there is 8GB of RAM in my PC? I'm going to install Win 7 64bit this weekend and also buy another 4GB of RAM for a total of 8GB in my PC.

Thanks.

Re: Readyboost

No, it would do no good and may decrease performance actually. That is what I saw when I used readyboost and 4gb ram

Re: Readyboost

Readyboost was more a gimick than anything else. Really why they kept it in 7 was beyond me. It's real function was for vista when hardware was lagging behind their ultimate software.

Re: Readyboost

Oh ok thanks, I was thinking the same too, even with 8gb of ram I didn't think readyboost would do much if anything.

Re: Readyboost

No, Readyboost, does not do any good on a system with 8GB's of ram. I tried it out of curiosity, awhile back, and Readyboost did not increase performance.
