Does Nero 8 work with Win 7?

I have some apps that ran fine on XP (32bit) and on Vista (64bit) but I'm wondering if they will break on Win7. I'm talking about Nero 8, Quicken H&B 2008, and stuff like that. I'm sure there are tons of info about it but I'm looking for a quick answer I guess. Any info will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Tom

Re: Does Nero 8 work with Win 7?

I would first run the Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor on the machine you are wanting to install Windows 7 on. This will tell you if any drivers or other programs are known to not work with Windows 7.

I have not had any experience with the programs you mention, but I will say that the only programs that we found not to work under Windows 7 natively will work in Compatibility mode. (We had to make 1 program run as if it was on Windows Vista SP2 and one as if it was on Windows XP SP3, with success).

Have you thought of Dual-booting your system?

Have you checked the websites for information? Nero has a forum so you should check it out for information.

fwiw, i run nero 7 lite (basically just nero and no extras) on win7x64 no problems. What i have found of apps that have known issues is that win7 will let you know as you try to install it and everything else will work. Best bet is to check specific sites for any relevant info first and if nothing then just try your luck.
