Looking for a program that...

I have a Creative Vado video camera and I would like to use it as a webcam. However, when I plug the usb into the computer, it only connects and charges itself.

Are there any free programs that can fool it so I can use it as a web cam?

Generally speaking, no. The device itself has to be able to act as a video device in order for the USB connection to provide that functionality. Generally, camcorders that can connect over USB only charge and act as a card reader. You can, however, use a capture card with it providing it has s-video, component, or composite out capability and then utilize that capture card as a webcam in many/most applications.

Looks like yours can with an optional cable.

Ah that's too bad, I came across a program that said it could fool the video camera into not charging but I lost the link.
